NOTE: Many non-working adapters might work if you use a different Bluetooth stack. Check your product's website for new drivers. If you find an adapter works only with a particular Bluetooth stack (that it doesn't come with), list it in the "working" category, with a link to the Bluetooth stack that should be downloaded to make it function.

ASUS Internal Bluetooth Standard drivers (Toshiba Stack) All ASUS laptops with Bluetooth as far as I know. Asus EeePC Builtin (Wildcomm 5.5.0.4400) did not work. ASUS G1 Microsoft stack doesnt work, but Bluesoleil works.
Hewlett-Packard Internal Bluetooth (Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless Technology) Standard drivers Not entirely sure, but I would assume all HP laptops which have the (Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless Technology) in the device manager should work.

HP Pavilion laptops' Integrated Bluetooth works using BlueSoleil under Vista.

D-Link DBT-122 D-Link (AI) Bluetooth Adapter WIDCOMM D-Link stack from the DBT-120. When using the 1.4.2.10 (1.42 Build 10 - not included on the bundled CD) version of the D-Link branded WIDCOMM stack, the "Skip Pairing" button successfully works. Tested with both GlovePIE 0.25 and Wiinmote WiinRemote v2006.12.13b.

I couldn't get 1.42 Build 10 drivers from DBT-120 to work with my DBT-122, they couldn't find the hardware. I did however get the Standard Drivers on the provided CD to work; If you use the "Bluetooth Setup Wizard" in "Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood" and choose "I want to find a specific Bluetooth device and configure how this computer will use its services" the "Skip Pairing" button will now work. Tested in GlovePIE 0.28 and WiinRemote v2006.12.20.

Compatability with various drivers seems to be dependant on hardware version of the adapter.

After updating the D-Link Bluetooth driver with this one Broadcom Update, the Wiimote was successfully working with GlovePIE.

Works without a problem under Linux with BlueZ

Windows XP fix found at this site

Here are the basics:

  • Remove any installed bluetooth devices and drivers. Reboot
  • Insert your DBT-122 into a USB slot, when it asks to install drivers click cancel.
  • Open your device manager (Right Click MyComputer > Manager > Device Manager.
  • You should see the Dlink under other devices with a warning icon, go to properties details.
  • You should see a number something like USB\VID_07D1&PID_F101 (ignore the rest).
  • Now open the bth.inf found in \windows\inf\bth.inf (%windir%\inf\bth.inf) in notepad.
  • Find the line "Belkin Bluetooth Adapter= BthUsb, USB\Vid_050d&Pid_0084" and under that line add:
D-Link DBT-122 Adapter= BthUsb, USB\VID_07D1&PID_F101 (make sure to replace my code with your own)
  • Save bth.inf remove the dongle and reboot.
  • After the reboot reinsert and windows XP will see it as an accepted bluetooth system and will install properly.

I've run now on about 6 XP systems worked and found the wiimote everytime.
